    University of Embu Announces Full Scholarships for TVET Courses: Requirements.

    The University of Embu (UoEm), in collaboration with M-Pesa Foundation, is accepting applications for scholarships to pursue Technical and Vocational Educational and Training (TVET) programs at the UoEm TVET Institute.

    The programs will equip students with marketing skills, increasing their prospects of finding work and creating jobs.

    In addition, the scholarship includes tuition, a monthly allowance during study time, and basic trade tools following graduation.

    The programmes will begin in November, and the application deadline is October 7, 2024.

    The scholarships will be divided into three cohorts that will be admitted every January commencing in 2025, 2026, and 2027.

    The first 400 beneficiaries will be selected from Embu, Nyandarua, Homa Bay, Turkana, Meru, Nairobi, Nyamira, Muranga, Busia, and Nakuru counties.

    To apply, applicants must be Kenyan citizens aged 15 to 30 years old. They must also meet the minimal academic criteria for their selected program.

    Furthermore, submissions from people with disabilities and low-income backgrounds will be favoured.

    The following programs are available, ranging from levels three (3) to six (6): cosmetology, repair and maintenance of portable and mobile electronic devices, repair and maintenance of two- and three-wheeled motorcycles, and building construction.

    Academic qualifications or prior learning experience, whether informal or formal, are required for each programme.
