Steps to Apply for the Jobs Secured by Ruto in Germany.
Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary, Roseline Njogu, shared important resources with Kenyans seeking job opportunities in Germany, as facilitated by President William Ruto’s negotiations.
She spoke about several websites during an interview on KTN News on September 18, encouraging Kenyans to explore these platforms to align their career aspirations with available opportunities.
Key Websites for Job Search
Njogu highlighted make-it-in-germany.com, a website managed by the German government that offers numerous job opportunities.
She emphasized its reliability as a platform for Kenyans to find career paths in Germany. The PS also recommended two other websites, deutschland.de and hub4africa.bayern, as useful tools for navigating the job application process.
Make-it-in-Germany Portal Features
The Make-it-in-Germany website is user-friendly, with several options designed to assist job seekers. Upon accessing the site, users will find six tabs on the landing page.
The first tab, ‘Working in Germany,’ provides job listings that can be filtered for specific positions. Currently, the platform lists thousands of jobs across various sectors, with 21,351 job postings at the time of this report.
In addition to job listings, the site provides comprehensive information on several topics, such as:
- Living in Germany
- Study and vocational training
- Visa and residence requirements
Other Resourceful Websites
Njogu introduced additional platforms to help guide Kenyans through the job-seeking process. Deutschland.de offers valuable insights, particularly through testimonials from foreigners who have already secured jobs in Germany, providing a clearer perspective on what to expect when working abroad.
Meanwhile, hub4africa.bayern offers a variety of courses to support Africans at different stages of their job search. These courses range from vocational education and career pathfinding to entrepreneurship and professional training for educators.
Additional Job-Seeking Tips
During the interview, Njogu advised Kenyans to also utilize traditional job-seeking platforms like LinkedIn, where many international employers post vacancies.
Furthermore, she encouraged job seekers to reach out to recruiters, either in Germany or Kenya, for assistance. The National Employment Authority (NEA) website contains the contacts of such recruiters.
