Education CS Julius Migos Abruptly Ends China Trip, Returns to Address Hillside Endarasha Academy Tragedy.
On Friday, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Interior declared that they had started working together to find the reason for the disaster that occurred at Nyeri County’s Hillside Endarasha Academy.
The Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos, who has been traveling with President William Ruto on an official visit to China, is returning to work with local teams to make sure the problem is handled as urgently as possible, according to a statement released by Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang.
A multi-agency team was reportedly already on the scene overseeing the situation’s management, according to the PS.
In his update, Kipsang said that in addition to collaborating with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education was making sure that everyone hurt in the disaster received the proper medical care.
“In line with His Excellency President William Ruto’s directive, the Ministry of Education is coordinating with security agencies to investigate the root cause of the incident at the school.,” Kipsang remarked.
During the incident, the PS revealed that they had sent 14 students with significant injuries to the closest hospitals and officially pronounced 17 students dead.
Kipsang added that of the 824 students enrolled in the institution, 402 were boys and 422 were girls. Out of the total enrollment, day scholars made up the remaining 160 girls and 156 boys who boarded.
Belio Kipsang claims that the unfortunate dormitory housed all 156 of the male boarders.
“The Ministry of Education sends its heartfelt condolences to the parents, families, and friends of the learners who lost their lives in this regrettable tragedy,” Kipsang stated.

President William Ruto instructed all pertinent authorities to speed inquiries into the incident and bring to account anyone found liable for possible wrongdoing. Barely an hour has passed since the Ministry of Education provided its most recent statement.
The head of state declared that those found guilty will face harsh punishment from the government.
“The government under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of the National Government is mobilizing all the necessary resources to support the affected families.”
